Sorrento

Situated overlooking the sea, Sorrento is a unique city. The smell of Sorrento's citrus fruits pervades the city's narrow streets and its vibrant colours make Sorrento a magical place to visit. Three minutes from our facility, walking down Via Antonino Sersale , you reach Corso Italia , the beating heart of the city. From here, walking along the characteristic alleys of the historic centre you will find many places to eat and typical shops where you can buy your souvenirs.

From the historic centre, it is very easy to reach the sea by means of the municipal lift located at the Villa Comunale , which will take you to the port or the equipped lidos in a few seconds to enjoy hours of relaxation on the shores of the crystal-clear sea of the Gulf of Naples. Peter's beach , Leonelli's beach , Bagni Salvatore , Marameo Beach , are some of the names of the private lidos in Marina Piccola for which it is advisable to book in advance, especially during high season.

From Marina Piccola you can also reach by sea the most famous tourist resorts on the coast: Capri , Positano , Amalfi , Naples etc.... Here you will find the ticket offices and berths of the various shipping companies that operate the tourist routes. It is always advisable to call or access the companies' official websites to check departures, especially in the winter months or during days when the sea is very rough.

If you prefer connections by land, 700 metres from the B&B Malù in Piazza Giovanni Battista de Curtis you will find the Sita bus terminal for Amalfi and Positano , the Curreri Viaggi bus stop for Naples airport, or the buses of the companies Marozzi o Flixbus to Rome . In the same square is the terminal of the Circumvesuviana and Campania Express trains that connect Sorrento to the nearby towns of Pompeii , Herculaneum , Naples .

For lovers of nature and trekking, not to be missed are the Bagni della Regina Giovanna , a small free natural oasis on the promontory of Punta Capo with a magnificent natural swimming pool just a few steps from the centre of Sorrento where the remains of the imposing Roman villa of Pollio Felice (1st century AD) stand. The baths of Regina Giovanna can only be reached on foot by a hike of about 25/30 minutes or by sea. By car, scooter or bus you can reach the nearest non-pedestrian point. At Traversa Punta Capo you will find a private parking area for cars and scooters for a fee.

Positano

The magnificent vertical city of the Amalfi Coast is traversed far and wide by steep stairways and small paths that make it unique. The many beautiful beaches such as Spiaggia Grande , Fiumicello , Fornillo , la Porta or San Pietro Laurito are easily accessible on foot as well as by sea. For nature lovers, you cannot miss the Sentiero degli Dei (Gods' Path), which will give you unique views and leave you breathless. If, on the other hand, you want to enjoy the old town, then go shopping and buy some nice, quaint souvenirs.

To reach Positano from Sorrento, you can take the bus SitaSud from the Sorrento bus station. The journey offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast. Be sure to check bus timetables in advance and purchase tickets at the station. We also advise you to avoid the late return journeys because of the long queues that can be created, especially in high season.

Alternatively, you can opt for a ferry trip from Sorrento to Positano, enjoying spectacular views of the coastal cliffs while avoiding traffic during the high season. The only departure is at 11.00 a.m. with the Navigazione Libera del Golfo shipping company, which reaches Positano in just 30 minutes from the port of Marina Piccola in Sorrento. Remember to always check timetables and relatives from the official website or by calling the NLG company.

Whether you choose bus or ferry, I recommend leaving early to make the most of your day in Positano and enjoy its coastal beauty.

Amalfi

Amalfi, the pearl of the Amalfi Coast, from which the Amalfi Coast itself takes its name, presents itself to tourists as a fantastic place even if its beaches, except those facing the town, are difficult to enjoy because they can be reached either by sea or through long stairways, but it is in any case a unique experience in close contact with nature.

In Amalfi you can enjoy beautiful walks along the characteristic alleys and visit the famous Duomo , the city's main monument and pride.

For those who enjoy walking, we recommend a trip to the Vallone delle Ferriere , a charming nature reserve behind Amalfi in the Pontone locality, reachable by bus .

You will walk along streams and old factories that once produced Amalfi's typical handmade paper.

Also not to be missed is a nature tour to the beautiful Emerald Grotto , which can be reached by bus or by sea.

If you love museums, the Paper Museum located in an old watermill, the Arsenal of the Republic Museum , the Compass Museum and the Maritime Duchy Museum are not to be missed.

To reach Amalfi from Sorrento, chose a scenic drive along the Amalfi coast. Take a comfortable local bus to enjoy breathtaking views along the winding road. If you prefer a faster option, choose the ferry from Sorrento to Amalfi, sailing through the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Naples.

The only departure is at 11.00 a.m. with the Navigazione Libera del Golfo shipping company, which reaches Amalfi in just 55 minutes from the port of Marina Piccola in Sorrento. Remember  always to check timetables and connections on the official website or by calling the NLG company.

Enjoy the journey and capture the beauty of this unforgettable trip!

Ravello

Ravello is a resort located 365 metres above sea level and is known for its extraordinary cliffside gardens. Villa Rufolo , built in Moorish style and dating back to the 13th century, offers sweeping views from its terraced gardens and hosts indoor and outdoor concerts during the famous Ravello Summer Festival. Villa Cimbrone , a medieval-style estate perched on a steep rise, is surrounded by another famous garden that offers a breathtaking 360-degree view from its famous infinity terrace overlooking the sea.

To reach this enchanting coastal resort from Sorrento, we recommend opting for a private guide or renting a scooter to explore the beauty of the Amalfi Coast in complete freedom.

Alternatively, you can take either a bus or a ferry from Sorrento to Amalfi and then use another local bus or a taxi to reach the picturesque Ravello.

Capri

Capri, the 'blue' island of love, is famous for its sophistication, exclusivity and is synonymous with elite holidays.

One of the best ways to enjoy the island is with a boat tour . At Marina Grande I Motoscafisti and Laser Capri are the two companies that organise tours of Capri. Most tours include a stop at the Blue Grotto  and touch on the most famous spots such as Villa Jovis and the Faraglioni , symbols of Capri that emerge from the blue waters For those who want to enjoy a swim in this area, there are two bathing establishments, La Fontelina and da Luigi , right in front of the Faraglioni .

There are both free and equipped beaches on the island. The largest beach on the island is at Marina Grande , where the island's port is located, while two other beaches, Marina di Mulo and Marina di Pennauro , are located at the bay of Marina Piccola .

Piazza Umberto I , better known as 'la Piazzetta ', on the other hand, is the symbol of Capri's social life. If you find yourself in Capri, you absolutely must pass by this area of the island full of open-air cafés, clubs and restaurants. The main streets of Capri start from the Piazzetta, such as Via Camerelle , the street famous for its shops and boutiques of the most famous international brands One of the walks not to be missed in Capri is the one that starts from the Piazzetta and goes as far as the Gardens of Augustus , a place that offers a beautiful panorama around the island and also on Via Krupp , the famous road carved into the rock.

If, on the other hand, you love breathtaking views, then a visit to Monte Solaro is a must; 589 metres high, it is the highest and most panoramic point on the entire island. Climbing up here you can admire not only the centre of Capri but also the Sorrento and Amalfi Peninsulas. To climb to the top there are two options: on foot or by chairlift . It takes about an hour on foot from Anacapri following a marked path, while taking the chairlift, again from Anacapri, takes about ten minutes to reach the summit.

Another unique sight is at the Arco Naturale : a natural rock formation dating back to the Palaeolithic age that over the years has taken on the shape of an arch, attracting many tourists intrigued both by its conformation and by the marvellous view it offers.

The ideal place for those who love silence and wild nature is the Punta Carena Lighthouse,  which is the the largest in Italy after the one in Genoa. It is also the best place to enjoy the sun disappearing into the sea on the island of Capri. A must for trekking enthusiasts is the hike along the Sentiero dei Fortini . It is one of the most spectacular walks on Capri that runs along the sea from the Grotta Azzurra to the Faro di Punta Carena among rocks, promontories and bays with turquoise waters.

In summer, nightlife on Capri is very lively, even if there are no big discos and nightclubs. After the inevitable aperitif at the Piazzetta square, the action moves to the taverns in the town's streets, where there is usually live music every night.

Pompei

Pompeii is known for its ancient city buried in 79 AD by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius. The ruins include the Villa of the Mysteries with frescoes and the Roman amphitheatre.

Situated in the city centre, the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Holy Rosary is one of the major centres of Marian devotion in Italy, where people go to pray, ask for graces, fulfill a vow, entrust themselves to the Virgin Mary. This Sanctuary is a dense network of faith and devotion, art and culture that holds precious works from the late 19th and early 20th century.

Also worth visiting is the Museo Vesuviano G.B. Alfano , which exhibits volcanic rocks and prints of historical eruptions.

To reach this city comfortably, we recommend you  taking the Circumvesuviana or Campania express train from Sorrento station .

You will then reach the Pompeii Scavi Villa dei Misteri station in 30 minutes, which is located opposite the ticket office and entrance to the archaeological site .

Buy train tickets directly at the station and enjoy the picturesque journey!

Castellammare di Stabia

Set in the centre of the Gulf of Naples just 20 minutes by train from Sorrento, Castellammare di Stabia is one of the most characteristic tourist destinations in Campania. In Roman times, the area around Stabia was frequented by wealthy patricians and members of the imperial circle also because of its mineral waters, whose therapeutic virtues were appreciated. Several Roman villas remain from the ancient city, such as Villa Arianna and Villa San Marco , completely free of charge, and the Grotta di San Biagio .

Also worth a visit is the Co-cathedral of Maria Santissima Assunta which dates back to the 16th century and preserves splendid works of art such as the Deposition and Nativity by Spagnoletto and an early Christian sarcophagus.

On the hill behind the town stands the Reggia di Quisisana , built by the Angevin kings in the 13th century as a holiday resort and then remodelled by the Bourbons in the 18th century as a hunting lodge. The view of the gulf from here is spectacular, but to fully enjoy the unique panorama that overlooks the entire gulf, we recommend an excursion to Monte Faito , reachable in 10 minutes by cable car . From here you can reach the Belvedere del Monte Faito by bus or by a pleasant walk, where you will feel as if you are immersed in a postcard.

Napoli

Piazza del Plebiscito , the Royal Palace , Via Toledo , the Spanish Quarters , Naples Underground , San Gregorio Armeno , Rione Sanità , Castel dell'Ovo and Maschio Angioino , the Capodimonte Woods and the Royal Palace , Castel Sant'Elmo are just some of the many places to visit in this historic and colourful city.

Flavours and smells of street food (Neapolitan street food) will grab you by the throat and you will no longer be able to do without the traditional dishes.

To reach Naples from Sorrento, the most convenient choice is by train , with frequent connections and a beautiful view along the coast.
